We currently have a unique opportunity for a junior/mid-level Legal Advisor to join the CS Global Partners Government Advisory Team. This full-time office-based role suits a qualified lawyer with 2-4 years PQEwith an administrative law/Government policy advisory background, who is looking to apply their legal expertise to provide practical and considered advice to governments across the globe on how to promote and ensure the sustainability of their Citizenship by Investment programmes and strengthen their legal frameworks.

Excellent English reading, legal drafting and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with and learn from a cohesive Government Advisory team and other departments within CS Global Partners. Confidence, professionalism, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce excellent pieces of work under tight deadlines are also fundamental to the role.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Perform legal research that is both in-depth and precise
  • Draft reports, legal memoranda, commentaries and prepare presentation and training materials within required deadlines
  • Analyse bills or draft regulations and present commentary and propose improvements
  • Draft correspondence with appropriate tone, including directly to/on behalf of members of the government
  • Ensure compliance with the regulatory and other governing frameworks to which CS Global Partners must adhere as an Authorised Promoter CBI and RBI programmes including the maintenance of internal precedents
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and digital design teams to conduct legal reviews of print and digital marketing materials on behalf of CSGP/Government clients to ensure legal and factual accuracy
  • Keeping abreast of Investor Immigration industry news and providing weekly updates to the wider organisation
  • Present at internal and external events, whether in person or webinars, with confidence

·        Undertaking ad hoc duties as instructed, including occasional travel

Essential Skills/Experience

  • LLB or equivalent – UK/Common law jurisdiction preferred with 2-4 years PQE 
  • A specialism/strong interest in administrative law and/or Government policy advisory
  • Experience in immigration and/or citizenship law (preferable)
  • Understand the fundamentals of common law legal systems, including the interaction of constitutions, acts, regulations, guidance, and policies
  • Outstanding command of written and spoken English with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to autonomously maintain and proactively manage workload
  • Ability to deal with clients and government entities in a professional manner
  • Ability to interact confidently with other stakeholders via email correspondence and telephone
  • You should be well-informed, a fast learner, and be able to hit the ground running
  • You will be flexible in your approach to working and can effectively multitask, juggling several duties simultaneously
  • Additional language skills would be of benefit (Chinese, Arabic, European languages)

Successful applicants will be required to sit for one or more interviews, where their reading and writing abilities will be tested, including their ability to understand and interpret legislation.

The candidate should also be willing and able to support other branches of CS Global Partners, including the Legal Processing, Marketing, Digital, Public Relations and Business Development Teams.
