The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expanded its Golden Visa program to include digital content creators, offering 10-year renewable residency permits through its new Creators HQ initiative in Dubai.
The Content Creators Support Fund, totaling $40.8 million, backs the program’s assistance with UAE Golden Visa applications, business registration, and relocation services.
According to Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Al Gergawi, the UAE’s cultural diversity makes it an ideal gathering place for global content creators, who will find opportunities to “connect to funding and investors so they can innovate and expand their reach.”
The Golden Visa program for creators launches as Dubai’s latest specialized residency category, joining other recent additions like the Golden Quay initiative for superyacht owners.
Creators HQ, which opened in Emirates Towers on January 13, 2025, offers assistance with visa applications while providing additional support services.
The hub has secured partnerships with major technology platforms, including Meta, TikTok, and X while attracting 100 initial members from 20 countries.
The program welcomes traditional social media influencers, podcasters, visual artists, advertising firms, and animation studios.
The hub plans to host 300 annual events and workshops on branding, video production, storytelling, and monetization.
Creators HQ provides creative camps, mentorship programs, and funding opportunities.
The facility aims to build partnerships with streaming services, gaming companies, and artificial intelligence developers to create a creative ecosystem.
