10 On The Weekend is a weekly (-ish) feature in IMI, the concept of which is simple: Each time, we ask the same ten questions of a different IMI Pro, letting readers get to know the interviewee on a more personal and informal level than they might during the ordinary course of business.

Our guest this week is Vasilis Papangelodimou, Managing Director at Azzuro Nova Limited

How do you spend your weekends?

I tend to spend my weekends with family and good friends.

What are your top three business goals this year?

My main three goals this year are to:

  • Work on a global scale,
  • Help new clients relocate to Greece and Cyprus, and
  • Establish new business relations with other professionals interested in Greece and Cyprus as destinations for their clients.

What’s your biggest business concern right now?

My main concern is the delicate situation with the USA/Israel and Iran.

Which book is on your nightstand right now?

I am currently reading Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara.

How and when did you first get into the investment migration industry?

I got into the industry ten years ago. I knew about it extensively, as I used to work at the Immigration Department.

What was your proudest moment as a service provider?

My proudest moment was when I had a barbecue with clients, who have transitioned into something much more; friends.

Which investment migration market development has surprised you the most in the last year?

The most surprising market development this past year has been the speed at which AI‑driven automation reshaped entire sectors, moving from experimental to mainstream adoption far faster than expected.

If you could go ten years back in time, what business decision would you change?

If I could go back a decade in time, I would move faster on opportunities instead of waiting for the “perfect moment.”

The cost of hesitation is much higher than the cost of a calculated risk.

What investment migration industry personality do you most admire?

I admire individuals in the investment migration industry who combine technical expertise with genuine client‑centric values.

Personalities who prioritise transparency, ethical practice, and long‑term impact stand out the most to me.

If all goes according to plan, what will you be doing five years from now?

If everything goes according to plan, in five years I see myself leading larger, more strategic projects, expanding my expertise, and contributing at a level where I can influence meaningful decisions.

I want to be in a position where my work has a clear impact and where I continue growing both professionally and personally.
