Inside the Relocation Concierge Firm That Manages Every Step of Moving Abroad

REFRAMED CEO Valentino Coletto on why international relocation demands far more than a visa.

International relocation is usually sold as a destination decision. Pick the right country, secure the right visa, and the rest follows.

That framing misses where most moves actually go wrong: Not in the choice of jurisdiction, but in the execution of dozens of overlapping procedures that no single professional discipline covers alone.

Tax residency, immigration paperwork, property searches, school enrollment, corporate structuring, banking, healthcare registration, and asset transfers each operate on independent bureaucratic tracks.

Each carries its own deadlines, documentation requirements, and local rules. Missequencing any one of them can trigger delays that cascade through the rest.

Valentino Coletto, CEO of the relocation concierge firm REFRAMED, has built his practice around that operational gap. In the following conversation, he explains what the firm does, who it serves, and why multidisciplinary coordination is the part of relocation that most people underestimate.

Valentino Coletto, CEO of the relocation concierge firm REFRAMED

How was REFRAMED born?

REFRAMED was born from the insight of wanting to offer a truly integrated and multidisciplinary approach to international relocation.

We start from the idea that relocation is not an isolated event but a process that must be planned and developed over time.

Our work begins before departure, continues during the transfer, and goes on even after arrival, when the most practical challenges related to integration and daily life in a new country emerge.

Relocation Concierge.” Why that term?

The term concierge” evokes the idea of bespoke, fully personalized assistance. In our view, highly specialized professional skills with proven and certified multi-year experience are essential.

Only with that foundation is it possible to develop effective preventive strategies that keep clients from getting caught in bureaucratic labyrinths.

Those skills must also be multidisciplinary: Tax, legal, social security, real estate, logistics, financial asset management, and practical knowledge of immigration procedures.

Truly integrated professional assistance must take care of everything, which is why we explicitly speak of Relocation Concierge. The firm needs both a global vision of the entire process and a specific focus on each individual requirement, all the way through to the completion of every procedure and the achievement of the objectives initially set out.

Why have you chosen this approach?

The transfer of residence abroad represents a process of high technical complexity that transcends the mere application of standardized procedures.

Each individual situation requires specialist analysis, personalized strategy, and coordinated professional management of the various activities.

REFRAMED transforms the complexity of fiscal relocation into a structured, transparent, and fully personalized process, guaranteeing results, problem-solving capability, discretion, and regulatory compliance.

Do you hold ISO certification?

Yes. After a rigorous inspection, REFRAMED demonstrated that it meets international requirements in terms of quality policy and has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification. The standard requires that every certified company apply documented processes to guarantee reliability, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.

The objective is to control the processes and activities across every service we provide, not through claims, but through audited, measurable systems.

You are also a licensed travel agency. Why?

REFRAMED has the authorization to operate as a travel agency in compliance with all mandatory requirements and legal obligations. That license also means we meet mandatory insurance requirements in the travel sector, including specific policies that protect the client’s investment.

Our clients can count on us for trips with high complexity and personalization. We organize journeys to the chosen destination designed to show it through the eyes of a resident, not a tourist, so clients can experience daily life there before committing to a relocation.

The program includes immersion in local culture, familiarizing yourself with the actual cost of living, and meeting other foreigners who have already relocated and can share their experience first-hand.

During the trip, clients can also view rental properties selected to match their requirements. If something fits, they can proceed directly with signing a long-term rental contract and begin the paperwork to become a resident.

Do you also integrate advanced tools into the process?

REFRAMED provides a platform that lets clients monitor their relocation project in real time. The client can check each activity across the entire supply chain, from tax advisor to business consultant to real estate broker, at any time.

Each task has its own deadline and is assigned to a manager who communicates progress and provides updates through notifications. Clients can also interact directly, commenting within the platform and uploading documents to an organized dashboard where everything is categorized and accessible.

What are the most requested destinations?

Lately, we are seeing growing interest in San Marino, both from European and non-European clients, due to its multiple pathways to tax residency.

Consider the Atypical Residency program and its 7% flat tax with a maximum of €100,000 in annual taxation, or the Elective Residency program that allows access to 3% taxation on dividends.

San Marino

I wouldn’t like to focus on just one jurisdiction here, given that we handle so many and each one deserves specific treatment on its own terms.

Paraguay might be more attractive for its territorial taxation system, Italy for its flat tax for high-net-worth individuals, or certain European countries that offer zero or near-zero taxation for retirees. Each has its own advantages and trade-offs.

Our advice is to visit the REFRAMED website and blog regularly, where we publish interviews, in-depth analyses, and case studies drawn from our direct experience.
