General program requirements

To qualify, applicants must either invest

RUB15m ($205,000) investment i in Socially Significant Projects;
RUB30m ($410,000) investment in a Russian legal entity carrying out entrepreneurial activities;
RUB20m ($272,500) investment in real estate in Far Eastern Federal District;
RUB25m ($340,000) investment in real estate elsewhere in Russia;
RUB50m ($680,000) investment in real estate in Moscow;

OR

Establish, as a sole founder, a business (LLC, joint-stock company, farm, or business partnership) that contributes taxes and fees amounting to at least RUB 4 million annually; or

Invest in an existing company that contributes taxes and fees amounting to at least RUB 6 million annually.

Requirements to qualify for citizenship

The program gives applicants and their family members (up to five generations) permanent residency in Russia immediately upon approval.

After completing five years of residency, the investor can apply for citizenship. The investor must show proficiency in the Russian language by passing a language test to be considered for citizenship.

Generally, the investor would need to renounce their previous citizenship, but many exceptions exist.
