Indonesia launched the Golden Visa program in September 2023, offering foreign investors temporary residency visas in exchange for investments in government bonds, bank deposits, or public company shares, with a minimum investment requirement of $350,000 for a five-year visa or $700,000 for a ten-year visa.
The program also allows for business investment with higher thresholds starting at $2.5 million. The program does not lead to permanent residency or citizenship in Indonesia.
