Iran offers 5-year renewable residency permits to foreign investors who deposit US$100,000 (or equivalent foreign currency) in authorized Iranian banks. This investment visa pathway requires approval from both the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The deposit must remain in the Iranian banking system throughout the residency period, and permit holders can include their spouse and unmarried children under 18 in their application.
To qualify for Iran’s investor residence program, applicants must deposit US$100,000 (or equivalent in other currencies) in an approved Iranian bank or financial institution as a long-term deposit.
Due to international banking restrictions on Iran, applicants should consult financial advisors about viable fund transfer methods. Once the deposit is confirmed, applicants can proceed with their residence permit application.
