Global CIPs Have Removed 36 Accredited Agents Since December, Added 17

In the first four months of 2020, authorities of the 10 citizenship by investment programs that mandate applications be filed by accredited agents have removed a total of 36 accreditations and added 17. The 19-strong net drop in the number of accredited agents worldwide represents the first significant reduction since we began measuring toward the end of 2018.

In aggregate, there are now 962 accredited agents globally, about two-thirds of whom are licensed under the Cypriot CIP. While Cyprus has more accredited agents than all other countries combined, Saint Kitts – where more than one in a thousand residents are accredited agents under the country’s CIP – has the most on a per-capita basis.

See below an overview of how many accreditations each program withdrew and issued, as well as who the newly accredited agents are. We have refrained from naming those agents whose accreditations were withdrawn so as to not unnecessarily draw into question the reputations of companies that, after all, may have perfectly legitimate reasons for no longer being accredited.
