An RCBI enthusiast, I started my journey in investment migration as a research & development officer, giving me a unique perspective into a plethora of IM programs. As I shifted into business development I began to perceive the industry from a hands-on point of view. My passion for the written word then took over, and I have been publishing works concerning my thoughts on RCBI since. Although working most programs available, my tendency to focus extensively on Canadian Residency and Turkish Citizenship, I have been lucky to master two wildly differing RCBI programs which are only similar in the massive demand they conjure.
Yakof is the founder and CEO of CIVIQUO – the Investment Migration Platform.
Formerly a managing partner for a residency and citizenship by investment (RCBI) firm, Yakof was key in establishing, leading and managing the firm’s group functions (HR, IT, finance, legal & compliance), whilst maintaining direct responsibility for the group HR function. His contribution was essential for the firm’s impressive growth and for the development of the Malta Individual Investor Programme (MIIP).
As the former Chief Officer for Risk and Compliance for the Government Agency which manages the MIIP, his re-design of the citizenship programs’s due diligence resulted in the process being recognised as the industry’s ‘gold standard’. Yakof authored the 3rd edition of the Malta IIP Handbook, and created the industry’s first Risk Assessment Framework.
Yakof’s experience in different industries and disciplines – including residency and citizenship by investment, Human Resources and IT – is supported by an academic portfolio which includes specialist qualifications in due diligence, AML and CFT, civil law and information technology. He also holds a practitioner’s licence in neuroscience-based behavioural assessment and an MSc in leadership and organisational behaviour with Dublin City University.
