Sierra Leone Expands Citizenship Program to Include Extended Families and Business Partners
Sierra Leone now has the most flexible dependent criteria worldwide, allowing multiple families to qualify under one investment.
Eswatini is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, surrounded by South Africa and bordering Mozambique to the northeast. It offers a Residence for Persons with Assured Income, open to foreigners who have a secure, self-sustaining annual income and do not take up local employment.
Income must be proven and remitted from abroad, derived from property/pension/annuity, or generated from capital brought in and invested locally. There is no set minimum income nor minimum investment requirement to qualify.
To qualify for the Eswatini Retiree Residence (Permit Class I), applicants must meet the following criteria:
Path to Permanent Residence: After about 5+ years of lawful, continuous residence, foreigners can apply for permanent residence.
Path to Citizenship: After about 10 years of lawful residence and having obtained permanent residence, foreigners can apply for citizenship, provided they demonstrate good character and basic integration, meet residence and PR conditions, and take an oath if approved. Expect 12–24 months of processing.
Eswatini generally restricts dual citizenship for naturalised adults, so applicants may need to renounce other nationalities.
