WHERE ARE WE GOING?
The historic Barco Evora awaits us at the “Spaniard’s Dock” (Doca do Espanhol) in Lisbon’s Alcântara neighborhood.
We’ll remain in port for the first part of the day, which is devoted to panel discussions and talks, before we begin a 4-hour leisurely cruise, stopping by some of Lisbon’s most famous sights.
To the backdrop of the Lisbon sunset, we’ll enjoy dinner, drinks, and an RCBI trivia contest with fabulous prizes for the winners, before we slowly make our way back to port.
Built in Germany in 1931 with recycled plates from WWI tanks, the Evora was the first ship in the world to have stainless steel propellers and was also Portugal's first diesel-powered ship. For decades, she served as a ferry between Lisbon and Barreiro and doubled as a floating wine cellar, carrying thousands of liters of Muscatel in wooden casks.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We recommend smart casual, so you can safely leave your tie or your heels at home. Temperatures on May 31st historically average 23-25°C, so you’re not likely to need a jacket until after sunset.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
The Barco Evora is moored at the Cais Rocha Conde de Óbidos, at the eastern part of the Doca do Espanhol in Lisbon’s Alcântara neighborhood.
To arrive by taxi or Uber, we suggest inputting Seaventy Aluguer de Barcos e Eventos as the destination.
Alternatively, the Cais Rocha (Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga) transit station is just a stone’s throw away from the dock.
