We are in search of a Case Processing Officer to facilitate in the ongoing case processing of various streams including Express Entry, PNP, Work Permit, Visitor & Super Visa, Family Sponsorship, and Refugee Claims Applications. The selected candidate will be working under an assigned supervisor and will be responsible for providing assistance in processing the applications while maintaining professional relationships with clients throughout the process.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Interact with prospective clients to obtain the documents and information required for Client Initiation process
  • Follow-up with prospective clients for retainer sign-up
  • Assist the supervisor with processing and submission of applications
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their applications
  • Corresponding with clients over email on a regular basis while maintaining client relationships
  • Performing any administrative duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Education

  • Minimum University/College degree in Business Administration or Information Technology is required.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 – 2 year of progressive work experience working in the legal field

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Language Proficiency in English
  • Knowledge of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship laws and regulations
  • Competent in using new software’s such as, Officio & ERP
  • Must be competent at using Microsoft Office with knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Must have excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients’ business and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to draw on previous experience and technical knowledge to provide recommendations and services to the benefit of the client;
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Effective time-management skills; Must be able to deliver assigned work within given timelines
  • Pleasant telephone mannerisms
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work well independently and also within a team environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn
